Got myself a new watch, thanks to my granddad. XD Out of random, he just asked if I wanted a watch, and before I could answer, he walked into the shop, leaving my cousins and I clueless. o_o
Me: "Err," I hesitated, looking at the glittery Guess watches, "something cheap would do la.."
Him: "That pink one looks nice." *points*
Me:
The face looks a bit.. large. "It's not bad.."
Him: "Try it on."
Me: "Hmm. Does look quite nice, actually."
Him: "Like it?"
Me:
This shouldn't be too expensive, okay lor. "Yeah ^^"
Him: "Okay. I'll buy it."
Me: "Really?" o_o (to shop owner) "How much is it?"
Shop owner: (In chinese( "$128."
Colin and Lyanne (<-- my cuzzins): "Wow!"
Me: "Oh God... er.."
This? Over a hundred? Holy shit..Him: *takes out wallet and hands card over*
Me:
Man, he doesn't even feel a slight pinch..Colin: (Whispering) "Jie, why did he buy it for you.."
Me:
Yeah, I wonder why he's so generous.. usually it's my grandmother that spends endlessly on us. XD "Err, maybe it's an early birthday present? Then he doesn't have to get me one during december. ^^"
Actually, I don't really want a birthday present, this is good 'nuff. =DMe: "Thanks, Grandpa. ^^"
For the 1st time in my life, that's the 1st time he's ever asked anyone if they wanted anything worth above a hundred dollars. Mum agreed as well, but at least I didn't comply to her wanting me to tap more munny off him. >_> Do I look like that sort of gian peng person?! Raaar.
Anyway, today was the start of the preliminary examinations. I don't intend to excel since I have no intention to go JC for the 1st three months of next year. I wouldn't say it's a good start, but I'll be a nice girl and be optimistic to say I'll do better tomorrow for my Maths and Literature. =D Will be putting up my O level timetable soon, so stay tuned.
