I think I am starting to like that 9pm show on channel 8. I don't know, it's.. nice. The warm-and-fuzzy nice kind of nice. ._.

Anyway, the NDP preview was TEH AWESOMEEESSSSS.

Many many thanks to my bollywood partner! Vondo/Min/Rona is so much fun to be with lah. Missed her so much. Finally got the chance to get hyper and scream problems away. Too bad our seating wasn't that nice - we were surrounded by aunties and kiddies that kinda feared our screams and cheers. XD

I was hoping for a bigger plane-wooshing part, but heck, they pulled out all the stops in using the fireworks. That, I give props for. But I hope we come back together and watch the fireworks at Marina, I hope it'll be memorable. =)

Yes, I do not lie. He's coming here, with his jolly band of jokes and tricks up every nook and cranny of his sleeves (if any).

He's holding it at the SCO theatre. Why the Singapore Chinese Ochestra theatre of all places I don't know; maybe it's an inside joke to put a stand-up comedian in a place where Chinese play their funky Chinese instruments without shooting noodles out of their hands.

(If you didn't get that, you've been watching the wrong kind of videos. Tsk tsk.)

Yay, SIM gave the DMSFT students a holiday! I don't know why, but for today, tomorrow, and Sunday, I'm free!! 3 sunny (I hope) days allll to myself.

Projects to finish, lectures to revise, presentations to complete, town to go, food to eat, topics to digress, and speaking of that... THERE'S NDP TO WATCH YUHHHHHH.

Weeee I haven't been to NDP since.. primary 5!

It's just the preview, but it's just as glorious as the real thing! The class should have a reunion on the real day itself to watch the fireworks, just like we did last year =) Ahhhh good times, good times. Considering it's the last year of NDP in the National Stadium before they tear it down, it's worth going even if it's in the blazing heat of July. :P

I got a new bag couple of days ago right?
Now I got new spectacles!

Okay, so they weren't my ideal brand.. But hey, I can get those next time when the real moolah starts rolling in when (more like if) I graduate and get a job. They're half-framed and bold at the sides. And it's black and orange! It'll suffice. =)

The kuku gang of 5A met up again!

Kaili, Huifen, Yin, Min, Yanliang, Junhao, Zichun and I met up at Farmart to have a "reunion dinner". It was YUMMY laaahh. But of course, I've tasted better zi cha thingies, and we'll probably will go Sentosa for out next meeting instead of just dinner. I missed everyone lah, and everyone must go okay! ALL SO WHITE SIA KNN!

5a totally rocks lah, I am so myself when with them. With Sherlyn, Selwyn, Vince and the rest I just clam up and smile. But they're still awesome friends even though I only happen to know them for only 2 weeks. Seems like at least two months lah, we all so friendly to each other haha XD

I know, I know. No updates.

School has countless amounts of projects.
Church has countless amounts of er.. church.. things.
Family has countless amounts of issues.
Bank has countless amount of money. I wish.

And don't get me started on shopping. (Whoops too bad! Already did.)

I decide to go buy a pair of white bottoms (for confirmation - not like I like baring my butt to the world like it wasn't fat enough) at Lot1 (because mum happens to be able to psycho me) and stop by at Veeko, this shop which at first glance already killed my mood.

Okay, keep off the weird colours people. Dark teal and purple? Reeeeallll tacky. Even if that's the only colours you guys refer to, I'm all dandy. But when your salespeople come up to me and start being clingy, it's infuriating. Which part of "I need white three quarters only" did you not comprehend? You collaborate with mum (please please please remind me never to listen to the phone when mum's hypotising session starts) making it worse. And to add salt to the wound, you keep speaking mandarin! If you can't fooking speak English, get someone else!!

.. That felt awesome. Really.

Now, where was I..
Right! Confirmation. Anyone in the right state of mind knows that this only happens once in a lifetime, but heck. I treated it like any normal.. church event. Pish posh, not like I was getting married or anything.

So the Archbishop came, looking really swell and.. old. But in a good kind of way, because he's really a nice, wise guy. Not your typical, boring old priesty.

But yeah. I happened to be the last person for confirmation. Yuuuupp, 126 people and I just had to be the last. Having hundreds of people stare at your back while the Archbishop anoits your head? Feels worse than having to eat your own unwashed sock.

Dad suggested we go camping.

Me: "Noooo problemo!"
Dad: "Right in the open you know, without normal food. Just maybe instant noodles and a few snakes?"
Me: "Er.. snakes are nutritious! Nooo problemo!"
Dad: "You might be sharing the toilet with a few critters."

Dad: "You'll probably be sleeping on a groundsheet, if not just the ground."

Sooo sorry! Apparently someone's meddled with my computer and busted it, but I won't point fingers just in case it decided to hate on me. >: Stupid things. One day I'll replace it with an [insert computer version thingy waaaayyyy better than current one here] then we'll see who's boss. D:

So yeah, let's recap a bit.

Friday
Caught 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' with Sherlyn, Selwyn, a friend of theirs, and Vince! =) Seriously, it was awesome. Wait no - it was beyond awesome-ness. Anyone with acting talent of Johnny Depp shouldn't deserve only that. He is such a natural. ;_;
Besides the fact that it was super hilarious, you have to watch the first one before you can understand this one. Vince was like "who's that, who's that!" when - wait, can't spoil for you. XD

But yah, considering I've watched the first one at least 3 times (blame it on Disney Channel!), it was very easy to understand. Apart from why the monkey was still undead. It's because in the first movie, I didn't finish watching the credits. After the credits, it shows the monkey taking the Aztec coin and turning into a skeleton again. XD Speaking of credits.. if you happen to watch this new Pirates of the Caribbean, don't leave before the credits are over! You get to see what happens to one of them. =)

On Saturday, it was beyond words of expression.
I went on a shopping spree with min. She looked so nice! It's really great to spend time with a great friend and buy things. I don't know, I totally disagree with Vince. Spending money on clothes makes me really happy. =) The men don't get it. Tsk. xd

We tried on stuff, and min looks nice in everything lah haha! I still have around $350, minus $130-ish for the NUM bag, and that gives me.. $220! Woot. Still got enough to spend on a wallet, a jacket, and random junk. I think. o_o
Shopping rocks. Period. =)

By the way, I chose Sinclair. ._.
Although yeah, Cherise sounds sweet, but you guys should know me! I like twisti-ness. Sinclair might sound evil, but it comes from Saint Claire! So yup, even my grandparents can't say no to a sainty name.

Maybe I just can't go on.. sometimes.

I can actually end up crying listening to Ayaya's "Watarasebashi" at the bus interchange. Yes, that's in public, FYI. Noel was right - it's nice to listen to Japanese songs at first because you never really understood what they meant. But now that I actually understand what most (more or less) lyrics mean, it's high time I listened to something more foreign and incomprehensible. For example: ~~Mandarin~~ Korean.

Woon Sik's probably going to kill me for suggesting that, but dude, I applaude you for understanding one of the world's most complex languages. They sure resemble chinese characters, but putting them next to one another and seeing the difference is a major ow factor on my brain. I shall insist that Woon Sik teaches me Korean one day. I really don't want to end up listening (and singing along) to a song that's actually saying someone's mother's yeast infection on the private area is huge or anything.

That aside, school hasn't been all fun and games, to be honest. Sure sure, 3 hours a day, a break with free food and drinks (pfft, like anyone really cares that we pay them money to feed us), have a single canteen flooded with NP students (I shake an angry fist to you, heartless beings), and tests with major hints from the lecturers themselves.

But waking up at 7 is some kinda mission I have to accomplish everyday. And it's nooooo mean feat my friends. Getting me to wake up is easy. Let Sabbath lick my face or just whisper "L'Arc~En~Ciel's coming to Singapore and I got ticketssssss" usually does the trick. However, it's keeping me awake after that - hooooboy.

Bah, no matter. I heard we get a month's break every Semester. *shrugs* Not sure, but shit, that sounds awesome no matter how you put it. Can't wait to do shopping, there's Holland V's FoS to go, Puma jackets to buy, and a new bag to don! <3

It's just really awkward that SIM is a supposed "University" since they put up those words on the front of the building, but it's actually sibei small. Srsly. :|

But we had to group up today. The Business Comm. lecturer didn't want local and international students to be in their own happy groups, so she separated Darren and Yi Song from us and put in Tony, a PRC semester-repeat student, and Woon Sik, a Korean (as much as I hate to see two awesome local buddies leave us for another group, Woon Sik's hair = win). Both of them are really nice, but it's so hard to communicate lah! I mean, I can speak mandarin, but it's just limited vocabulary! Sherlyn and I are like 'angmoh pai', and Maria's a Singaporean Indonesian! We are so dead. D:

So while Sherlyn and I are frantically trying to explain to Tony in Chinese, Woon Sik is just sitting there looking at us, puzzled. It's just really adorable. XD

Apart from school stuff, I've become more religious (I think)!

I'll be going for 3 weeks worth of confirmation sessions; at the end of it I get my middle name thingy, (I seriously need to pick one fast - nothing sounds nice with Gloria.. <_<; Suggestions, anyone? Free cookie.. >: Please and thank you! XD) and a spiffy walk up the aisle with my godparents while they place their hands on my right shoulder when oil is anoited on my head. Maaannn I've been talking too much Christianity shizwiz, I scare myself. o_o;;

School hasn't consumed all of my time, relax. I went out with min to Sentosa! Awesome fun and really glad we got to clear out our minds and just relax that day. Must go there again soon! YIN MUST COME ALONG WAHAHA!

But the tan didn't really work out hor? Neh mind~ Next time I'll bring sunnies and a biiigbigbigbig mat. Then we can lie there the whole day and like you said, fall asleep and wake up chaota XD!

Yay, first day of school is over! I was actually trembling when I entered the lecture theatre - Sherlyn and Maria were nowhere to be found! Eventually I realised they weren't there yet, and thank goodness the teacher was nice. Gave breaks, and there was even like, food and drinks provided. I don't know, maybe it's a first-day-of-school-treat kinda thing.

My shoulders are aching from carrying those notes and textbooks (which I found out weren't really useful >_>). I had the urge for something with chicken teriyaki inside, so I went to Bukit Panjang Plaza's Mos Burger! Yum yum. :3 Then I headed home. Nas promised me that he'll teach me PoA if I was having difficulties! Yay, I don't have to stress myself out now that there's a pro. XD

Finally, I dyed my hair purple. Not that obvious kind of purple-purple, but you know.. the ones that only appear under light. Yah. Those.

I'll probably buy a 9% bottle and pour it all over my head just to make the colour brighter though. Meh if I had more money I'd re-highlight it with white <3
Speaking of that.. When we went shopping, Celest actually found like 2 strands of white hair! And I don't think that was the last of it :(

I hope I'm not growing old. I hope I'm not getting stressed out, either. What kind of stress, you ask? Deciding what-to-wear-for-the-first-day-of-school stress. Help!

3/4s of it is freaking funny lah, so long as you're a graduating class. But when the teachers all bade goodbye.. I don't know what came over me lor ._. I cried so much I forgot what I wanted to blog.

Yesterday I went out with my 3 other bumbling bobos-for-cousins; Vince, Celest and Xi Ning~ <3 We went to town, and did a wardrobe makeover for Vince. He ended up buying a top from NUM (we tried our best at finding something that didn't seem gay x_o) and Nike. Then an Adidas jacket that cost $119. Damn worth it, but I swore I'd never touch or buy anything from Adidas D:

(Did you know Korn actually sang a song with the acronym Adidas because even though they wore their clothes which in turn made their fans do the same, but Adidas didn't want to sponsor them? However, Puma did. So they started wearing Puma instead (yay for them <3), and made a song called All Day I Dream About Sex. XD)

Holy shit major digression plx. >_>;

Then he got a Crumpler bag~ Netty was there, but jie says we have to tell her in advance if I want to get a discount :< Boo. Seeing Vince get a Crumpler makes me want to get one, too. But it's either NUM or Crumpler.. Or Fred Perry lawl. Bahhh. We'll see next time. I get my pay on the 15th, so until then, I must refrain from any further expenditure. 0:)
